Two of my Sloth photographs are in this book written by Janet Piehl. The title is “Let’s look at Sloths”. I took the sloth photographs here in Panama. Among several other photographers are Frans Lanting, Kevin Schaefer, Peter Arnold, and Steve Bloom. © Øyvind Martinsen. I am always amazed by the rain forest landscapes. I made this photograph at sunrise in the rain forest of Soberania national park in Panama. Soberania national park is one of my favorite places in Panama, and it is one of the locations we visit on our 5 days Boat and Jungle Photo Tour. If you are interested in this tour read more under "Photo Tours in Panama" here on the site. There are some fixed dates for this tour, but we can also arrange a tour upon request. There are a maximum of 4 participants on each tour. We keep the number of participants low, so everyne get good photo opportunities. © Øyvind Martinsen. One of the mammals you can see on our photo tours in Panama is the Mantled Howler Monkey, Alouatta palliata. This one was photographed inside the rain forest of Soberania national park on our 5 days Boat and Jungle Photo Tour. The tour is one of our most popular tours, and it is a very good place to start your Panama Photo adventure. The tour can also be extended, upon request, or you can add one of the other tours to your photo adventure. You can read the full program under "Photo Tours in Panama". This afternoon I had four Collared Aracari, Pteroglossus torquatus, outside our house! I shot this image from the window, and it is another evidence that our small reforestation project works. More birds come to our property as our trees grow bigger. The Aracari is in the toucan family, and we often see it on our photo tours around in Panama. Øyvind Martinsen Our Photo Tour Program for 2016 is now ready. We have five tours on our meny. They can be arranged as single tours or you can build your photo adventure with several of our tours. For booking or questions contact us at [email protected] Best regards Øyvind Martinsen One of the animals you can encounter on our photo tours in Panama is the Western Night Monkey, Aotus lemurinus. This one was photographed inside the rain forest of Soberania national park, on one of our Boat and Jungle Photo Tours (5days). Read more about the tour under Photo Tours in Panama on this site. The tour has fixed dates, but we can also arrange a tour upon request, if the scheduled tours does not fit you scheme. Øyvind Martinsen Here I am with our dog, Sølvi, beside a Cuipo tree on our property in Panama. The Cuipo tree is a part of our small reforestation project. We have planted twenty of them, and they grow 30-40 meters tall. The Cuipo is among the emergent layer trees in a rain forest. In addition we have planted other rain forest trees, and in a few years we will have a healthy rain forest here. 1% of our Photo Tour sales in 2016 will go directly to our reforestation project. That said, I encourage you to start your own small reforestation project in the area where you live. After a few years you can say to yourself: “At least I did something”.
