Here we are in the tent camp in the Sarigua desert during one of our personal photo projects. In the last century the rainforest was cut down for pasture, and the soil eroded down several meters. The Sarigua desert is now a national park. On one hand it is an environmental disaster, on the other hand it is photographically interesting.
Øyvind Martinsen One way to come close to wildlife is from inside a blind. Zizza is inside our doghouse popup camouflage tent near a pond in the Herrera province, Panama. We spent two days here, on a personal project, photographing birds and also landscapes in the lush Panama nature.
Øyvind Martinsen Dinner time! From one of the lodges we use on our photo tours in the rainforests of Panama. After a long day with a lot of photo work and beautiful sightings, it is always nice to relax in a comfortable hammock and enjoy a nice meal surrounded by lush nature! This is one of the reptiles you can photograph on our photo tours in Panama. New tour dates for 2018 will be published soon. © Øyvind Martinsen
River Otter, sci.name; Lontra longicaudis, Panama. This is one of the animals you can photograph on our photo tours in Panama. However, there is no guarantee that you will see them. They move fast and are often hard to find. That is how I like it. You have to work hard to be able to get what you want, and the hunt itself is as important as the photograph. This is not a zoo. © Øyvind Martinsen
